I was introduced to this song by Jurgen Gothe on his new show Farrago exactly one year ago! It's actually a remix of a field recording made by Alan Lomax in the 1930s or 1940s, during which time Lomax and his father made thousands of recordings of traditional American music for the Library
of Congress. Now you would find these original recordings under the Smithsonian Folkways label. About Tangle Eye I know nothing!
