I love this carol; it's a nice little story. I remember one Christmas Eve when L and I went carolling by ourselves and sang this - we went up to Hunt Place to Mrs Burry's house (she was known locally as the Candy Lady because she would give kids candy at any time of the year, not just Halloween). Mel Torme has a good version of Good King Wenceslas for when you're drinking martinis instead of hot chocolate.
