We first heard this guy on a Hallmark commercial about a guy who is getting adult literacy tutoring. One day he takes a shoe box out of his closet and is finally able to read all the Hallmark cards his kids gave him over the years. We downloaded that song, Orange Sky, from itunes. Then one morning we heard this song on Weekender and it was the same guy. And recently we watched the movie Away We Go, which is chock-full of Alexi Murdoch stuff.

ReplyDeleteI just listened to this and loved the lines "even breathing feels alright". It has been hard for me to listen to music - it has a capacity to undo me but perhaps that I got through this rather melancholy song by a sincere songwriter is a sign that Spring is coming.
