Planets. Kate Rusby

We discovered one song by Kate Rusby a couple of years ago: The Village Green Preservation Society, the opening song for a British comedy drama series, Jam and Jerusalem (or Clatterford, as it's known in North America). Dr S wanted to try more so this Christmas she was fortunate enough to receive a recent Rusby CD, Awkward Annie, which we enjoyed immensely immediately. It's folky with some traditional stuff, and Eddi Reader, featured last year at #93 and #25, sings on a couple of the tracks. This is a really nice one. She has a beautiful voice. We intend to buy more. As soon as we pay off those bills from Christmas.

P.S. Clatterford is worth checking out; it's by Jennifer Saunders, about the Women's Guild in a little English community. Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, and Joanna Lumley all have roles in it.

  1. I think waiting until bills are paid off is slightly over-rated.
